ABOUT:
After an internship in the Graphics Department at ONBOARD Snowboarding Magazine in 2002, Ross moved from the French Alps to work in London's Soho post-production community. Ross worked at a couple of post-production facilities refining his technical skills before taking a position at Smoke & Mirrors in 2006. During this time he trained as a broadcast video engineer.
In 2009 he relocated to NYC to work for Smoke & Mirrors NY as a Flame & Smoke Artist before going Freelance. Ross has worked on various Film, TV, Commercial & Music projects including Academy Award Short Film (2010) "The New Tenants", the Emmy winning "Taylor Swift Experience" 360° App, NBC drama "Hannibal", the Emmy winning Netflix Nina Simone Documentary (2015) "What Happened, Miss Simone?" (Academy & Grammy Award Nominated) & the visual album "Lemonade" by Beyoncé.
Ross has an extensive technical and creative understanding of the entire post-production process with over 15 years experience in the industry. His skills include Compositing, Beauty, Online Editing & VFX Supervision. Ross has worked on numerous advertising campaigns including Reebok, Coca-Cola, Land Rover, Jaguar, BMW, Walmart, AT&T, Uggs & Chase; with Directors that include: Spike Lee, Joachim Back, Jake Scott, The Snorri Brothers, Liz Garbus & Todd Haynes.
Ross is currently available for Freelance Flame & Smoke opportunities and is experienced in 360° VR supervision & production.
